The village is renowned for its excellent surfing beach and unspoilt location. Surrounded by stunning cliffs, the property benefits for miles and miles of walking routes, cycling and some of the most beautiful sunsets in the whole of the UK. ★PORTHCURNO & MINACK THEATRE★ You would be forgiven for thinking this beach is somewhere in the Caribbean, it's hard to believe Porthcurno is under an hour from Porthtowan. It is hard to say which Porthcurno is more famous for, its beach or the Minack Theatre. The vision of one woman who decided to carve a clifftop theatre at the bottom of her garden. Almost as stunning as the neighbouring cove it is well worth the climb up the cliff path to visit the Minack - if only for the view back down over the bay ★WALK TO CHAPEL PORTH★ There is a lovely 1.5-mile walking route to Chapel Porth which has some stunning views. Do bear in mind that this walk can be a bit tricky at times, as the rocks are loose when you go down the hills and suitable footwear must be worn. When you get to Chapel Porth, do try one of the infamous ‘Hedgehog’ ice creams, which is an ice-cream dipped in cream. You can also access Chapel Porth by going to the beach and walking right when possible. Along the way, you will see many ruins of mines from the local area. ★ST IVES & CARBIS BAY★ It would be an absolute travesty to visit Cornwall and not take a trip to St Ives. Boasting fabulous beaches, excellent galleries, a stunning harbour, and the most charming shops and restaurants, it’s a cultural haven for holidaymakers. Be sure to try out the fish and Chips but be careful as the seagulls can be savages! If you are looking for a special place to eat or grab a drink, do take yourself down to Carbis Bay hotel where you can dine as you watch the sunset over the ocean.
